In short: Palm Harbor is unincorporated, so impact window permits here go through Pinellas County rather than a city. We file them, measure every opening for free, and install the same impact windows and doors we install in Clearwater. A standard window runs about $800–$2,000 installed, as an estimate.

Permits go through the county

Palm Harbor has no city government, which surprises a lot of people who moved here from somewhere that did. Window and door replacement permits are issued by Pinellas County's building department instead. The paperwork is similar to Clearwater's, but the inspection scheduling is separate, so we plan the install date around it.

From Crystal Beach to Lake Tarpon

Homes west of Alternate 19, near Crystal Beach and the Sutherland Bayou, sit close to the Gulf and take the strongest wind. Homes along the Lake Tarpon side are farther inland but often have large lake-facing sliders and picture windows. Both ends of town benefit from impact glass, but the design pressure rating we specify for a bayfront home is often higher than for a house near East Lake Road.

Communities with design rules

Much of Palm Harbor is deed-restricted, from golf-course neighborhoods to gated villa communities. Associations often set the frame color and limit tints. We check the rules with you before we price, so the windows we quote are the windows the association will approve.

Palm Harbor prices are estimates until we measure. See the cost guide for every window and door range.
