In short: many Largo homes still have their original aluminum windows from the 1960s to the 1980s, and replacing them with impact units is the most common job we price here. As estimates, a standard impact window runs about $800–$2,000 installed and a 2-panel slider $3,000–$6,000.

City or county, depending on the street
Largo's city limits are irregular, and pockets of unincorporated county sit between city neighborhoods. A house inside the city is permitted by the City of Largo; one a block away may be permitted by Pinellas County. We look up the right office for your address before filing, which avoids a rejected application and a lost week.
Original windows in block homes
Central Largo is full of concrete block ranch homes with single-hung aluminum windows, many with the original glass. They are straightforward to replace: the openings are masonry, so the new frames anchor directly into block. The work that takes time is the stucco return around each opening, which we finish so the new frame sits flush.
Villas and 55+ communities
Largo has a large number of villa and over-55 communities where the exterior is managed by an association. In those, the association usually approves the product and the frame color, and sometimes the contractor. We provide the approvals, our insurance certificate and a clear scope so the request is easy to review.
